Great gate, very functional

The gate has been wonderful. Lightweight but seems sturdy.

However, the instructions seemed to be for a different product or simply wrong. Steps seemed out of order, misspellings, images didn't correspond to the product I bought.

Works well for us

This is a great solution if you have stairs and don’t want your dog going up or down those stairs. Ours are super steep and the dog is very small. We installed it at the top of the stairs. I feel much safer about that. We did have to use a piece of wood to secure it against the drywall just for better hold. It swings both ways, which is traffic. So far so good we’ve had it up for three months no problems. The latch works great. We got White happy about that. It matches our walls. If I had kids, I would be happy with it as well. The slots are not too far apart and it seems strong enough. We needed something that was the right distance and could make it work as well as higher since we were installing it at the top of the stairs. We didn’t want it short where someone wouldn’t see it and fall over the top of it and tumble down the steps.

Doesn’t use pressure to keep gate in place.

Very nice gate for the price. Needed gate for steps leading up to deck to prevent my dog and small grandchildren from accessing deck. Purchase a different gate that used pressure and that gate would push the posts further apart over time. Also doesn’t have that bottom bar to awkwardly step over.

This looks great, that's about it. Such a PITA to use, the open mechanism is just dumb. Doesn't autoclose. My husband had to replace the hardware after a month.
