Boundless S12 | Ultra-Stable No Bottom Bar Baby Gate for Stairs

Very well-made and easy to put together the only thing I wish it had provided was a different latch location option. Where I had to put, it was not a straight on connection so I had to use a special one that I made made up.

Perfect for keeping my 170lb fur baby from getting into the dining room and stealing the kids food off their plates. Love that there's no bar at the bottom to trip over. Installation was easy and it's been up almost a year.

It works great keeping the dogs from escaping. It's was easy to set up and pretty sturdy.

I got this to keep my pups on the deck. It is super durable. The latch is so simple and it was very easy to install.

This was not as difficult to install as some of the reviews indicate, but we were installing it outside between two sturdy wooden posts. It did require two people. I don’t know how long this gate will last outside, but it looks good and blends well with our new deck. I chose this gate because it has no lower bar and swings completely open, 180 degrees. The most difficult task was removing the ugly (but probably required by law) WARNING stickers on both sides. That took longer than the actual installation, and we accomplished it with boiling water, a retractable box cutter, and Goo Gone.

Great baby gate- easy assembly

I think its a great gate for my dog. I had zero issues installing it. The black finish on it makes it look really nice.

I have two of these, they are very study and easy to use for adults while still being challenging to open for kids. On top of that, when we experienced an issue with one of the gates 2 years later, and contacted the company for assistance, their support team was excellent. They responded promptly and got us a solution! Would definitely recommend.

Love these things over our previous gates.Now, to be fair, if you're really bad at being handy, these will suck. You can mess up installation, or your very handy, totally independent wife who doesn't need you for this, can mess up the installation....That being said, the directions are trash, so find a neighbor or friend that's handy and has tools and let them mount these for you. Done properly, they can stand up to my 40+ lbs kids (still really sit for that babe....) climbing on them like they're not a f'ing barrier gate!!!! Lil heckers.

Used this a different way. Looks like my outside fencing and I needed to block deliveries from this particular entrance.

Works very well when set up properly. Unfortunately the set screws that hold the adjustable gates in position are mounted on metal tabs which bend easily. Thus they cannot be set firm enough to keep the required position. I may have to drill and tap a hole to set a screw into.

This fits exactly as needed to prevent my dogs roaming into areas they are not allowed. It was easy to install and the auto close feature works on my purchase even though some reviews says it does not. The only negative thing I would say is that it makes a hollow metal sound when auto closing but I am becoming used to it. This replaced a gate with a bottom bar and this one makes it easier for my robot vacuum to clean the entire house without intervention.

Got two of these in June 2025, everything was good.November 2025, the automatic close spring in Unit 1 snapped. January 2026 the spring loaded catch/latch fell out, making the gate useless.March 2026 Unit 2 lost its catch/latch spring, though this time we were able to use some CA glue and a 3D printed peice to get a workable solution. Today, the auto close spring snapped.So, less than a year on both units, whcjn is rather disappointing.

The gate itself if great, but the hardware is cheap.- hex wrench is a super flimsy metal. It was stripped after tightening the second screw.- the larger wall anchors are useless. They immediately separated from the drywall. Plan on buying your own, especially to support the tugging of the gate from your toddler.

Works as advertised. Very secure and able to install around awkward railings/stair openings.

The gate was installed easily by my handyman. It is easy to open and closes automatically. That��s a plus with a toddler. The gate is very sturdy.

Overall does a nice job and is sturdy. We have discovered on a few occasions that the door doesn��t always latch as it should so we find ourselves double checking every time we shut it. You have to be intentional about locking it!

The installation was simple and trouble-free. It is a perfect fit for being a barrier from falling down the basement stairs.

Nice quality gate but hard to open so probably good as child gate I purchased to keep dogs apart when family visits .

Definitely Measure your space! I was off by Half an Inch but we improvised because I really like the gate!

I��ve purchased two of these gates now. They are secured and well made. Easy to follow instructions. Work great for toddlers and dogs.

Love it easy to instal and works great

Would definitely purchase again. Very sturdy gate when put into wall studs. Love that it can swing both ways and that is had a self lock when open all the way. Also when hung level it has a nice soft closure.
