Can I adjust the size of the cat door?

Yes! The small pet door is adjustable and can be locked at 3 different level. The opening size is 7 x 7 inches, allowing cats to pass through easily while keeping dogs (who are larger than cats) out. You can also close it completely when needed.

Will this stop my dog from getting through the cat door?

It is effective for medium to large dogs (like Golden Retrievers, Labs, or Huskies) who cannot fit through the 7" x 7" opening. Note: If you have a very small dog (smaller than your cat), they may be able to squeeze through.

What is the gap between the bars? Can a kitten squeeze through?

The distance between the vertical bars is 2 inches. This is narrow enough to prevent most toddlers and adult pets from squeezing through their heads. For very small kittens, we recommend monitoring them initially.

Does it damage the walls?
