CatPrivilege F7 | Large Sliding Pet Door Baby Gate for Cats and Dogs

We got a Bernedoodle puppy and already had a sweet senior terrier mix (Yorkie and Cairn). We were immediately having feeding issues. The puppy wanted to immediately scarf up our terrier’s senior special diet food. We bought this gate to help separate their food in different rooms. Hers stays in the living room and his is in the kitchen. We’re able to leave the tiny door open for him to get through. It is especially awesome that there are 3 different opening height options. I would definitely recommend this gate.

Used this to keep the dog out of the cat's food & litter because he could open our door. Though the cat was able to fit through the side of the baby gate even when the door was open so keep in mind it doesn't go both ways. I was worried that it wouldn't fit but I realized it can. Also, I didn't drill it into the wall, however it still stayed put just fine

Bought this and I'm just sitting her mad as hell that it is taking me longer to remove all the safety warning stickers than it was to install it. There are 3 large stickers and they are basically superglued on not at all in an inconspicuous spot but right it your face.
After spending 70.00 on a product that would look nice in my home, I am ruining it by having to scrape the sticker and the residue off with a razor. These were packaged in a box so honestly there is no need to make them impossible to simply peel off.
Other than that, the product is nice and does its job.

We got this so our cats could still go to the basement to use the litter box without our teenage Australian shepherd terrorizing them 😂 I love that the gate door opens both ways. Great height that my dog couldn’t jump and the adjustable cat hole is good as well. Picture for giggles.

It really is a great gate! Latches on its own after you walk through. Keeps my dogs out yet allows my cat to access her area without a bulky cat door. Looks really nuce

So the 4 posts that go into the 4 corners are round. So they fall out alot during installation. That's one star gone. And the bottom won't slap back into place no matter how many times I adjusted it. So that's another star gone. Thanks for the velcro strap for holding my other gate closed. I'd go with cumber gates instead next time if I needed a gate for kids instead of cats. But it will work. All parts were there.

Wow, very easy to use, i love it

The gate is very high-quality and made with quality products. It was very easy to assemble and install in my hallway opening. I use it to keep my German Shepherd out of a certain section of the house where cat food and the litter box are easily accessible. I am very enamored with the product. We should have bought one of these years ago, as we have been making ways to keep the dog out of the litter box and cat food. The cats approve and love this. I highly recommend it.

The price point for this baby gate was great! I have been looking for one with a door for a while, without spending too much. It was easy to assemble and put in place (love that I didn’t have to drill any holes in the rental). One thing I don’t like is how much effort you have to do to open the gate, mine seems to get stuck and I have to yank it a little harder but all and all I’m happy with it.

Good quality was easy to set up and is very secure. Like the pet door cat uses it no problem

While this is a solid well made gate, and easy to install I have one caution to buyers.
I purchased this to fit in a standard 32” door opening. While it does fit I could not use any of the extender pieces as they would not fit in the 32” opening. Therefore I had to install it with the adjusting screws turned out almost to the max. It works but does not give a neat installation in my opinion. If one of the 2 smaller extension pieces was 1/2” - 3/4” shorter, I would have been able to install it and would have given this gate a 5 stars.

I have purchased several of these types of gates over the years for pets. This is one of the best gates I have ever had - very good quality, sturdy, easy to open and close. It also has the function of staying open when pushed past a certain point and it ACTUALLY stays open. Really nice feature. The adjustable cat door is nice, but be aware that it does rattle. With that in mind, your cat WILL rattle that bad boy when their food dish is empty. At 2 AM. Just sayin'.

It installs very easily and sits securely in the doorway and really doesn't budge once it's in place. I have bumped into it several times and it hasn't moved.

The only potential issue is that this is a "tall" gate which means it is roughly as high as your average doorknob. I have a gate on a door with a regular "ball" type knob and one on a door with a handle-type knob and both hit the top of the gate, preventing you from being able to close the door fully. Additionally, the part of the gate that impacts the doorknob is the stationary side piece, so even having the gate open will not allow you to fully close the door.

Not a terrible issue, but one to be aware of. I have had the shorter, "regular" height gates and they end just underneath the knob and you can close the door. Just an FYI.

Overall, a very nice quality gate that works well.

Just received this and installed it. Pretty easy but my biggest problem is the tightening mechanism. Once it starts getting tight the disks slip and cannot get it as tight as I’d like to. (In video the skipping is the loud clanking sound) I think it will withstand a small toddler pushing on it a little but it does move if I put some force into it. Opening the door is an easy top and bottom gasp. My opening is 31.75 inches and could not use the provided extensions.

Love the small dog door (20lb older dog fits through second highest setting while keeping large adolescent lab out) but hate the open and close mechanism which is overly complicated. Also the lower pressure mounts tend to slide out of the door frame as you struggle to open this door (need to squeeze the handle and also pull up the door which causes the bottom to slide out). On the positive side, it swings shut somewhat automatically unless you open the door the full 90 degrees (in either direction).

Great gate!!! Good weight, easy to move, fits door opening well, good value for the money, has great functionality and serves its purpose.

absolutely love this product. It's exactly what we needed for my cat. the adjustable trap door makes it so easy for her to come and go as she pleases. it's not super sturdy but it's sturdy enough, it gets the job done for the price! highly recommend

Love the adjustable pet gate

I actually bought this baby gate for my Yorkie poo and cat so that could have a a resting spot away from the bigger dogs that I watch. They have their own separate room where they can stay and the small door opening is perfect for them to go in and out when they want to. Product is very sturdy, instructions were easy to follow and easy to put together.

Sturdy and easy to install. I would buy again.

This gate is awesome! I wish the instructions came with more information about how the gate works as it could have prevented some frustrations. Besides that, it worked well once I understood how it works and how it’s used. I purchased it to keep sneaky dogs out of the cat room and it’s doing a great job! The dogs would need crash into the gate pretty hard to get past it.

Things I wish I knew before installing:
It won’t stay latched if there isn’t enough tension. Don’t take the strap off until satisfied with the tension. Put the strap tightly back on if you need to increase tension and use the tool to adjust.

The door must be lifted in order to open. Look at the hinges while lifting the door to get an idea of how much lift is needed.

Difficult to install and adjust, and the gate can be knocked open if pushed hard enough.

The gate is perfect. Easy to install and suitable for adults to use. It keeps my dog out of my cat's food area. I love the ability to change the size of the cat door and the fact that it slides up and down instead of swinging in and out, so it doesn't get in the way. The only issue I have with it is that I couldn't use it in our bathroom for the litter box because we couldn't close the door with it installed.

Baby gate perfect for my cat and dog separation

I bought this so my cats could have a safe space room from my dog. (He occasionally likes to chase them - strictly playing, but they don't appreciate it.) It's very sturdy and stands up to my 63lb pitt-mix dog! I’ve had other pressure mount gates in the past but these are the best I've found. I like that you can swing the gate in both directions AND it auto-closes behind you. The only negative is that it can be hit or miss as far as getting a gate where the button is easy to push in. My 1st one was great so I bought a 2nd for my other room. I sent it back for replacement because it was very difficult to press down on the button to open it. My original continues to work normally. The replacement worked normally for the first few months. Lately, it's become a little harder to press but not bad. They do need to work out the button malfunction. If you need a tall gate with a cat entry slot, it's definitely worth the money as long as you get one with a correctly functioning button.
